The same weapon now provides the same damage regardless of unit, where previously a machine gun may have different damage depending on if it was in an infantry squad, tank, or airplane. Weapons have been normalized across the board. Recon was previously relatively impractical due to the high visibility of most units. Optics have been reworked, making recon units more useful in battle. DLC content and breakthrough game mode will be supported in future iterations.
